FAREWELL TO FAI MEMPHIS

It is with a bittersweet heart that I come back to Nashville from the International Folk Alliance conference in Memphis, TN. 2012 is the last year that the conference will be held in Memphis, and it was certainly a great time of playing music that did not disappoint. I always get to hear and meet so many great artists on top of getting to perform, and this year was no exception. Some of the many great artists that provided highlights for me were my friends Robby Hecht, Greg Humphreys, and Shannon Wurst, as well as fellow Nashville musicians Brian Ashley Jones and Andy Gullahorn. Topping the great new discoveries for me were fantastic Austin swing band Ghosts Along the Brazos, and San Francisco, CA chanteuses Lia Rose and Kelly McFarling. I'm already eagerly awaiting a trip to Toronto, Canada for FAI 2013!

Also appearing on the compilation are songs by artists such as Judy Collins and Shawn Colvin, and Darin and Brooke Aldridge.
